About Me
Back To My Roots
My name is Trevor, I am an amateur blacksmith trying to get the business up and running and learn as I go. I am a 35 year old medically retired veteran; this is one of my ways of being self-sufficient, of being a productive member of society again. That is very important to me, and this is a way for me to connect with my Celtic and Pagan roots, help support my own home and be less of a burden to the society that is helping us get by.
I work with a combination of newer metals and recycled metals from cars from auto junkyards. When I find a project I make well I will sell it on the site. If you want to commission something in particular then feel free to contact me - if it is within my current skills I will make it for you.
Experience
As to experience level, I will be completely honest, I have minimum experience. I have learned a lot, though, and I have learned most of it through doing. Some of it I learned by watching other people’s videos and reading through forums, but mostly, as with most things in life, theoretical knowledge helps, but until you start doing, you don’t really understand it. And that is where I am. I am at the doing, and to be honest, screwing a lot of stuff up phase. I am going to do a lot more wrong than I do right to begin with, and that is the way it normally goes.
Input Welcome
If you see me doing something that you think is dangerous, that you think is wrong, or counterproductive, hop on over to the Facebook or Patreon page and throw me a “hey buddy”, you might want to think about this, or that was really dangerous because. I am totally willing to learn and I will absolutely share your experience to get better in life.
